Check is in the Mail

If your family is eligible to receive the U.S. Advance Child Tax Credit Payment this summer, and you are anxiously awaiting your check, the Treasury will start mailing the checks on July 25, 2003 and will send out the last checks by August 8. The checks will be sent out on the following dates, depending on the last two digits of your social security number.

• 00-33 -- mailed July 25
• 34-66 -- mailed August 1
• 67-99 -- mailed August 8

Remember, you don't have to do anything to get this check, so beware of scams promising you a speedier refund check.
