Advance Child Tax Credit Status

Monday July 28, 2003
In the U.S., the IRS started mailing out the Advance Child Tax Credit checks on July 25th. If you are wondering if you will get a check, how much it will be, and when it will be sent, you can check the status here. The site will ask for your social security number, filing status, and number of exemptions you claimed on your taxes last year. I entered my husband's social security number because he is listed first when we filed our return. And exemptions means the total number of people you claimed; for example, we have 3 boys and filed jointly, so our exemptions are 5.
