Intex Easy Set Swimming Pool: Review

Tuesday May 11, 2004
The kids will soon be out of school for the summer and a backyard pool might be just what you need to keep them cool and happy. We bought our boys a 15' x 42" Intex Easy Set Pool last summer and they really enjoyed it. Like any above ground pool, they do require constant maintenance though.

I’d like to remind people that these pools are as dangerous as any body of water to young children. Also, beware of the the water intake on the side of the pool, drownings have occurred from hair entanglement. They are a lot of fun though, just be careful.

This pool is horrible. I used it last year, carefully dried it & stored it in my “house” since I didn’t want it out in the garage because of the cold winters and I have found “47″ pin holes in the last 3 days. Horrible pool if you want to have it more than 1 season.

I’ll have to disagree with Dawn. We have had our pool for over 3 years and we kept it rolled up in a garden shed. I don’t even think we worried about drying it out too much. Just make sure you set it on level ground or you will have one side full but the other side not. Or you could call it the shallow end like we do!
