The Presto Salad Shooter is a great timesaving device. You can quickly shred large quantities of cheese for enchiladas or lasagna. The Salad Shooter also uniformly slices potatoes for quick potatoes au gratin. The unit comes with a slicing cone and a shredding cone, and both easily slip right into the unit. The parts are all dishwasher safe, except for the base which can be easily wiped down. The only drawback is that some larger pieces of food become stuck between the cones and the base, so you might have some food waste. It also does not work well with softer, moist foods such as tomatoes or lettuce.
