How To Remove Grease Splatters

From , former About.com Guide

Stubborn grease splatters in your kitchen can be very hard to remove. Use WD-40 to quickly dissolve most grease spots from your stovetop and other kitchen surfaces.
Difficulty: Average
Time Required: 30 minutes

Here's How:

  1. Spray WD-40 directly on grease splatters on your stovetop or other household surfaces.
  2. Let stand for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Wipe off grease splatters with a damp rag or sponge.
  4. Repeat as necessary.

Tips:

  1. Test in inconspicuous area first.
  2. Use adequate ventilation. WD-40 is flammable. Use ONLY on a cool stove; do not use around a pilot light.
  3. WD-40 can be found in most grocery, automotive, and hardware stores.

What You Need:

  • WD-40
  • Sponge or rag
