How To Clean Mildew Stains From Tile

Mildew stains can be a problem, even in dry climates. With a little scrubbing and soaking, you can eliminate them.

Time Required: 15 minutes

Here's How:

  1. Clean and scrub tile with tile cleaner and a sponge or stiff brush.
  2. Spray stains with a mixture of bleach and water. (Use a spray bottle with about 10 parts water to 1 part bleach.)
  3. Let soak for 5 to 10 minutes.
  4. Rinse with water.

Tips:

  1. Make sure the room is well ventilated.
  2. NEVER mix bleach with an ammonia-based cleaner such as a glass cleaning product.
