Parenting Q and A

Question
Does anybody have some book suggestions for a 7-year-old boy?? I'm having a horrible time finding things he is interested in reading. We're getting past the Berenstein Bears stage but not quite into the I'm going to do it all myself stage - Aubra

Answer
My eight-year-old son loves to read and has gone through just about every series that is out there. His favorite, though, is stil the Magic Tree House series by Mary Pope Osbourne. Make sure that you start with number 1, though. It will make more sense that way. There are also a couple of great series for boys written by Bill Myers - we found those in a Christian book store. They have titles that boys love - ie; -My Life as a Walrus Whoopie Cushion. - Tmanno

My 7-year-old son just recently read a book he got from a book order in school and he is just crazy about it. It is called Tonight on the Titanic. It is one in a series of Magic Tree House Books. This brother and sister go to this magic tree house and go back in time for all sorts of adventure and mystery and excitement. These books are educational as well as interesting. - Natlov
