Do mornings stress anyone else? This morning, we couldn't find one of my son's shoes. (We found one, couldn't find the other.) It's always something when I'm trying to get them off to school. I guess I should get things ready the night before, but I'm just not that well organized. - Barb

Ours used to be bad too with only one kid I don't want to imagine what yours must be like with 3. I fixed some of ours by making my son put his shoes and backpack (with books and homework in it) by the door before he can go to bed. We used to pick out the next days clothes before bed too but now he has to wear a uniforms so the clothes fight ended. And I really hate to say this one, my son at 7 can't handle a 8 o'clock bedtime he needs about 11 full hours of sleep. It helped a lot to move his bedtime up a half hour; he doesn't even fight with me about it. And last no TV, until breakfast is done and the uniform is on. I feel like such a mean mom but it is the only way for us to be ready and me to be sane. - Debbie
Mornings are easy here. It's after school that's a killer. I have a new baby, then four kids at school. They all come home, get a snack and bombard me with questions regarding homework all at once, while I am trying to take care of baby. And then of course there are a million and one things to sign and send back to school. Then help me study for a test. Then I got to squeeze in cooking dinner in there somewhere;) Yikes, I hate after school. I just love the weight off my chest when dinner is fixed!!!!! Hope your mornings get better. Try having them lay out there clothes and shower night before. My kids have to dress first, then eat, then watch cartoons with me. That's our "cuddle time" But then again my others are 9 and up so they are pretty self sufficient now, nice. Maybe get up a little bit earlier to give a little space where time is concerned? - Shannon
