Question
My 4-year old loves fruit and vegetables, so that's not a concern, but he doesn't seem to like anything else anymore. He used to like mac and cheese and grilled cheese, but not anymore. Any ideas on what to feed him? Anything that worked for you would be great. Thanks! - Haylie

Answer
Just keep introducing small amounts of the various foods you would like for him to eat and eat them in front of him. It took 3 years for my son to at least tolerate peas in casseroles. - Sandy

My almost five year old has been semivegetarian for almost a year now. Drove me nuts at first, but once I introduced proteins in the form of seafood, yoghurt and beans I worry less. She's still picky about meat (so am I so go figure), but at least she is somewhat more balanced. I just keep giving her her vitamins and she is doing fine. - Nancy

My four year old decided that he only liked meat when he had Ranch dressing to "dip" it in.... That's over now, thank goodness. Try tuna fish, eggs, yogurt, oatmeal; anything that you find healthy. Keep serving small amounts of stuff you'd like him to try, expect a lot of rejection, and wait patiently.
I do believe someone here started a food caterpillar for her wee one. She cut out circles, and wrote the name of each "new food" that her son tried and liked and taped it to the dining room wall. When she served the item a second time, she was able to "prove" that he already liked the food! - Jill
