How to Freeze Tomatoes

Tomato Recipes

From About.com

I have a small garden with a lot of tomatoes too and each year after we've had enough of fresh tomatoes and salsas, I freeze mine.

I just chop them up and put them in freezer bags to freeze. I can use them all year long in casseroles, chilis, soups, etc.... Works great! Just finishing off the tomatoes in the freezer from last year's garden and they taste fine in my chili.

You won't be able to eat them fresh like in a salad, but for cooked dishes works very well. - Sandra
