Hello, I am the mother of three children: Andrew (5), Meghan (3) and Amanda (13 months). I come from a very diverse background. I graduated college with a Bachelor of Science degree in English and Elementary Education. After teaching for 2 ½ years in an elementary school, I was drawn to becoming an MD. I went back to school for 3 years to finish my pre-med work. One week after taking the Medical College Admissions Test, I discovered I was pregnant with my third child! What a surprise! It was hard enough finding time for my husband and two children with the pre-med work, so with three little ones I decided that my medical career would need to be put on hold.
