PartyShop - A Home Based Business

Hi, My name is Rachael Giallongo. I am married to a chef and we have 5 children ages 9, 6, 4, 22 months and 6 months. I chose to stay home with my children. I feel it's important that they be raised by me, with my values, etc. It was a hard decision and was difficult at first to take off the "career hat" to put on the full-time "Mom hat".

Thanks to the power of the internet, I saw an ad for a party supply catalog. With 5 children, you can imagine that we have a lot of parties! I requested the catalog, and then checked out the corporate site. There I found a "business opportunity" section. I thought I had gone to a restricted area. The more I read about this ground floor company, the more excited I became!

Wow!! This was something I could do from home, right here from the computer (which had already become my only link to the adult world). I signed up as a consultant with 1-800-Partyshop the day after receiving the catalog. I just couldn't resist!

The things that were most attractive to me were:

  • the products- with more than 85 themes and more being added all the time, I knew we had something for everyone! This is a product that virtually everyone is interested in!
  • the convenience- if I had driven to store after store trying to find enough cups and plates, surely others had to! What could be easier than a theme party complete delivered to you door?
  • ground floor opportunity- I was the first in my state and there are currently only 3 of us!
  • no inventory- I couldn't afford it and don't have the space for it
  • no minimums- I don't work well under that kind of pressure!

This company has exceeded my expectations time and time again. They listen to their consultants that are out here in the line of duty. Watching people's reactions as they see our catalog has allowed me to have the courage to be more outgoing. And, of course, the money has allowed me to take my kids for extra treats and to get caught up on bills.

I am building a team of party planners across the country and each time I share this opportunity, I make a new friend. I look forward to being able to meet all of these wonderful people next summer in Orlando for the convention.
