Chocolate Chip Cookies 2

  • 1 cup butter/margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
Cream together.
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
Add one at a time to the butter mixture.
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp Hot Water
Dissolve the baking soda into the water and then combine with the butter mixture.
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
  • 1 cup nuts, optional
Combine the dry ingredients then mix into the butter mixture. Drop by large spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake about 10 minutes at 350F.

Another option is to replace about 1/2-3/4 cup of flour with cocoa powder and use white chips instead of chocolate. - Aubra
