This is a cheesy bread appetizers that your family and guests will enjoy.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 large round of sourdough bread
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 2 cloves garlic
- chopped parsley or chives, optional
Preparation:
Get a BIG round of sourdough bread, cut 1 inch slices stopping just before cut all the way thru, then turn a quarter turn, and slice again . The point is to end up with 1 inch cubes, but the bottom still attached. In a bowl, combine 2 cups of grated cheese (I use Jack and mozzarella, you use any two of your favorites, including cheddar) with 2 cloves of minced garlic. Put the bread on a foil lined or nonstick cookie sheet. Pull the bread apart slightly, while you stuff the cheese in between the bread cubes. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes, until the cheese is melted. Sprinkle with chopped parsley or chives, for a special touch. To serve, have your guests pull apart and enjoy; this is one of those things that you cannot stop eating once you start. - Jill, forum member
