Make Your Own Homemade Baby Food

Before buying expensive jars of baby food, think about alternatives and make your own homemade baby food. For example, apples are really just applesauce(I buy unsweetened). Bananas are very easy to mash. So are canned pears and peaches. You can even give them a quick run in the blender and freeze in ice cube trays. This also works great for cooked vegetables. Just use the cooking water to thin. (The cooking water has a lot of the nutrients in it, too.) Once the cubes are frozen, store them in freezer bags. I have saved a lot of money doing this. - Submitted by Rennie
