Everybody has their favorite brand of diapers, of course, so here are tips from one mom who prefers the name-brand diapers and another who prefers store brand, at least during the daytime.

When my husband and I had our daughter, we bought the store brand diapers (usually Toys R' US; they seemed the best out of all the store brands) until we had a coupon for Luvs. We found out that they really hold A LOT more than the store brands and I liked them much better than Huggies or Pampers. So, we switched to Luvs. When I sat down and figured it out we actually are saving money because we switched. The store brands couldn't hold much urine so we were changing A LOT of diapers a day. Besides, Luvs only costs about a dollar more than the store brands. - Submitted by Bonny

Having 4 children of my own and providing daycare for 5 others, I am surprised at how many parents do not use store-brand diapers because they're afraid the diapers won't work as well. I use the cheapest brand I can possibly find during the daytime, but use a brand name for nighttime wetness. The store brands truly don't hold as much urine as the brand names, so I change them maybe 3 more times during the day. - Submitted by Debbie
