You can serve this quick main dish recipe with rice or Chinese noodles for a complete meal for your family. This is a great way to use up any leftover steak you might have on hand.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 to 3 cups leftover steak, thinly sliced into 1 inch strips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli flowerets (or 1 16-ounce bag frozen broccoli)
  • 1 package dry brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup water
  • pepper to taste
  • cooked rice or Chinese noodles

PREPARATION:

Heat oil in large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add sliced steak strips and sauté until hot, about 3 minutes. Add broccoli and mix.

In a small bowl, stir together the gravy mix, water and pepper. Add to the broccoli and beef in the pan. Heat to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes.

Serve over rice or Chinese noodles, if desired. This makes 4 -5 large servings.
