Served over white rice or noodles, this is an easy meal that my family loves.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 2 hours

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-3 pounds beef stew meat or chuck steak, cut into cubes
  • 1 sliced onion (optional)
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups water

Preparation:

Brown meat, onion and garlic in oil until well browned. Drain. Stir in remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for about 1-2 hours. Combine 1/4 cup water with 2 tablespoons flour, mix well, and add slowly to meat mixture. Cook and stir until bubbly. Serve over cooked white rice (as shown) or over cooked noodles.
