Ingredients:
- 2 cups of ground beef
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 cup pitted olives(optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup milk
- salt and pepper
Preparation:
Brown meat, onion and garlic; then add chili powder, cumin, beef stock and olives. Salt and pepper and cook for apporx 20 minutes until beef stock has cooked down.Place in a casserole dish.
Mix flour, cornmeal, milk and salt and pepper and spread over the beef mixture. Cook for about 30-45 minutes in a 350 oven; make sure cornmeal is completely cooked and is nice and brown.
You can substitute beef stock for a can of tomatoes. - Marsha Sue
