Sausage Casserole

You make this breakfast casserole the night before and just stick it into the over Christmas morning.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 6 slices toast, cubed
  • 1/2 pound cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups milk

Preparation:

Crumble and cook sausage over medium heat; drain.

Mix remaining ingredients with sausage; pour into a greased, 9x13 baking dish, and refrigerate overnight.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes.
Uncover, reduce temperature to 325 degrees F .
Bake for about 30 minutes, or until set. (Stick a knife in the center to test.) Makes about 6 servings.
