7 Up Cake

Seven Up makes this bundt cake moist and delicious.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hours,

Ingredients:

  • 2 cubes (8 ounces) margarine or butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon butter flavoring (found near vanilla in grocery stores)
  • 3 cups flour
  • 7 ounces 7-Up

Preparation:

Cream margarine and shortening until fluffy. Add sugar slowly. Add eggs one at a time. Mix in vanilla and the butter flavoring. Alternately add the flour and the 7-Up. Bake in greased, floured bundt pan or 10-inch tube pan at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. If desired, glaze with powdered sugar icing (below).

Powdered Sugar Icing

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1-2 tablespoons water
Mix all ingredients until smooth and of desired consistency. Drizzle over cooled cake.
