Mexican Bread Pudding

Mexican Bread Pudding is made with apples, brown sugar and cheddar cheese.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 34 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Use a couple day old bread (or texas toast)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup or more of raisins
  • 4 Apples chopped up (remove peel)
  • 1/2 to 1 cup cheddar cheese

Preparation:

In a pan put the water to boil, then add the sugar but lower the heat. till it looks like a watery syrup. About 4 minutes. Shred the bread into cubes. mix all the dry ingredients together except for the cheese. Then add the syrup over the top of all the dry ingredients and mix it well. Then add the cheese and stir it again. Heat oven to 350 then bake for 30 minutes. - Debbie, forum member
