Dryer Sheets and Quilting

Save used dryer sheets if you like to quilt; you can use them to keep the edges of your blocks straight and keep the blocks all the same size. My mom used to sew her cloth scraps to newspaper sheets and it was my job to take off the paper; boy did my hands get black. She made a lot of quilts during the World War II to send overseas. She did a lot of sewing including coats for the family and always had scraps to make quilts. - Submitted by Phyllis
