Ziplock Bags

From Apply Now, About.com Guide

I'm a ziplock baggie nut. I do investment cooking and reuse leftovers. I have one very visible shelf in the refrigerator dedicated to leftovers. I uniformly stack my ziplocks of leftovers there; at a glance I can see what to eat first and incorporate. If you have trouble remembering what day you made what, you can use a permanent marker and date the bag. I shred up a ton of my cheeses and they are ready to use while I am cooking.

Ziplock bags are also great for freezing (if you buy freezer bags), carrying snacks, wipes, toys, a small art kit in car, emergency change and a phone # card in the car; you name it. I've even used one to decorate a cake when I was out of parchment paper! Just don't pay top dollar, you can buy bulk and an assortment to save the more expensive bags from holding snack crackers.
