Freeze Your Milk

From About.com

Did you know that you can freeze milk? I found myself having to go to the store to buy milk a couple of times a week. My sister told me that she freezes her's. It sounded a little funny, so I called the dairy association and it is fine. I think they said you should use frozen milk in about three months. You just have to pour a little of the milk out (into another jug) before you freeze it, so that it doesn't expand and burst the plastic jug. It will look yellow when frozen, but will thaw out and look normal. It saves on grocery trips and I stock up when milk is on sale. - Submitted by Carolyn
