Stuffed Mushrooms

Stuffed mushrooms are a bit harder to make, but they are worth the effort. A nice "gourmet" touch to your appetizer tray.

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lb. mushrooms
  • 1/2 lb. ground sausage
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup Italian seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 1 Tablespoon margarine

Preparation:

Remove stems from mushrooms; chop finely and set aside. Brown the sausage in a pan; remove from pan, cook chopped stems in sausage drippings. Remove from heat; add sausage, bread crumbs, and cheese. Fill the mushrooms with this mix.

Heat oven to 400 degrees.
In a 13 x 9 inch cooking dish, melt the margarine; set the filled mushrooms in the dish and cook for about 15 minutes.
