Softer Dried Clothes

We all know that hanging your laundry out to dry is a lot more frugal than using a dryer. However, a lot of people don't like to do this because the clothes and especially the towels don't come out as soft. A college roommate told me how to get the best of both worlds. Use a liquid fabric softener in the wash, then before you put your laundry out on the clothes line, pop it into the dryer for 5-10 minutes on high heat. The heat activates the fabric softener and when you hang the clothes out they'll dry nice and soft.
