Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic
- 1 stalk of celery, chopped
- 1-2 carrots, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper
Preparation:
Place first 9 ingredients in a large pot and cover with water and cook until chicken is done, about an hour or more.Mix flour and Crisco. Make a well in the center of the mixture and add broth.
Mix to form a stiff dough. Roll out very thin and cut into squares.
Place dumplings into the boiling chicken pot, cover and let cook. - MarshaSue
