Ground Beef and Rice Casserole

Made with Rice-a-Roni and ground beef, this dish is ready in no time.

INGREDIENTS:

  • One box of Rice-a-Roni or off-brand equal
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 3/4 cup rice
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cube beef boullion

PREPARATION:

Brown the ground beef. Drain and set it aside. In the same pan, prepare the Rice-a-Roni according to the directions on the box. Now, since my family has 3 hungry, growing kids, I add the rice, water, and bouillon. If your family has small children, I would imagine that the box of Rice-a-Roni alone would be fine. When the Rice-a-Roni is just about done, and only a little moisture still remains, add the ground beef.

This is really quick and easy. My family really likes it. I usually accompany this with a salad (I always keep a bowl of salad in the fridge and bread and butter.) - Burton
