Sloppy Joes

I've tried so many different recipes for Sloppy Joes, and this one is my favorite with a sweet and tangy flavor.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1-1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 or 3 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/2 can of water
  • About 3 or 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • About 2 or 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • About 2 or 3 tablespoons vinegar

PREPARATION:

Brown ground beef and celery. Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, then simmer for about 10 minutes. (Add enough water to bring it to the thickness you want.) Serve on buns with sliced cheese, if desired.
