This salad is a great way to use up leftover chicken or turkey. The secret is a mayonnaise and cream cheese mixture.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- Cooked, cubed chicken or turkey
- diced celery
- chopped green onion
- Optional: diced apple, diced green pepper, green grapes,cut in half, slivered almonds, cashews
- 1 part mayonnaise to 3 parts cream cheese
- garlic salt
- lemon juice
Preparation:
Mix dressing ingredients (mayonaisse, cream cheese, garlic and lemon juice) together. The dressing may be thinned a little with milk if desired. Fold in
chicken, celery and onion. Add salt to taste. Use for filling in croissants
(that's how I served it) cream puffs, specialty breads. Can substitute
Hidden Valley Cucumber dressing for mayonnaise if desired. - Pam
