For a real split pea soup, this recipe is super easy and frugal.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 bag split peas
  • ham/ham bone
  • 1 potato cut up
  • 3-4 carrots cut up
  • celery stalks cut up or celery seed
  • 8 cups of water
  • salt and pepper to taste

PREPARATION:
