Ingredients:
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 can (14.5 ounce) diced tomatoes
- 1 can butter beans (small or large) drained and rinsed
- 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
Preparation:
Brown and drain sausage and onion; add: 1 can beef broth.Add remaining ingredients; simmer all together for half an hour.
Serves 4 or 5. Great tasting the next day also.
I make a salad and bread to go along with it.
You may use either the sausage in the plastic roll or Johnsonville style, but with the Johnsonville you have to take the casing off first before browning. - Cheryl
