Quick Fruit Salad

This is an easy, colorful summertime salad that can double as a light dessert.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 12 ounce container of cottage cheese
  • 8 or 9 ounce tub Kool Whip, thawed
  • 13 ounce can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 pint fresh grapes, red or green
  • 1 small package Jello, dry (Match the jello with the color of the grapes. )

PREPARATION:

Mix the dry Jello with the Kool Whip, then fold in the rest of the ingredients. Refrigerate for an hour or two, until firm.

Variation (as shown in the picture): Substitute 1 11-ounce can mandarin oranges, drained, for the grapes. Use orange-flavored gelatin.
