Second-hand stores are what keep my son and me dressed nicely. I turn his old clothes in for new ones at several used baby stores to maximize the acceptance rate. I rarely have to put out much money that way for his clothes. - Submitted by Christine
This probably isn't news for stay-at-home moms like me, but I have had phenomenal success with kids' clothes at thrift stores. I know ALL of my local thrift stores and they know me! Kids grow so fast that many of the name-brand clothes at thrift stores are hardly used. Old Navy, Baby Gap, the Target and Mervyns brands. Speaking of cute! The list goes on. This takes some time and effort, but I pay a fraction (many times way less than 50%) of the original cost. My husband actually encourages me to go shopping! - Submitted by Ginni
