Fighting Fleas

Tuesday July 8, 2003
BoraxHere's a recent reader's tip using borax in your home. Rid fleas from your home. Sprinkle on carpets and in creases and under cushions of your chairs and sofa. Take a broom and go across the carpet to work the powder down to the bottom of the carpet. Wait 3 days and vacuum. It sufficates the fleas and the new hatched fleas from eggs, breaking the life cycle. A small amount of powder remains in the carpet working all year long with one simple application each year. Believe me, I have not had fleas for 9 years. It really works. You will be amazed. - Helen

You can usually find borax in the laundry detergent section of your grocery store.
