A squeaky door is a minor but annoying problem in many homes. WD-40 will quiet your squeaky door quickly and easily.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 15 minutes

Here's How:

  1. Spray or squirt WD-40 directly onto the hinges of the door.
  2. Open and close the door several times.
  3. If the door still squeaks, remove hinges. Inspect for and remove any rust, dirt or loose paint.
  4. Apply WD-40 to removed hinges.
  5. Replace hinges; open and close door several times again.
  6. Wipe off any excess WD-40 from the door.

Tips:

  1. WD-40 is a petroleum based lubricant found in most grocery, hardware and automotive stores.
  2. Use in well-ventilated areas.

What You Need:

  • WD-40
  • Screwdriver
  • Cloth
