He is 8 months old; at 4 months he did great with his cereal, around 6 months he stoped eating solids now all he will eat are cookies. At least that is something! He goes through about 6 8oz. bottles a day. I don't mind the food consumption but I realy wish I could get him to sleep through the night. right now he goes to bed between 8:30 and 9:30 he is up at 12, 2, 5, and sometimes 6. I know he would sleep better if he would eat better, Does any one have any ideas? - Shannon Answer Maybe you could try waking him a little earlier from his day time naps, he may be sleeping too much then. Plus that way he could also get you to himself for a little bit. - Aubra My middle son didn't eat solids until he was 14 months old and he nursed until he was 20 months old. He continued to wake up every 1 to 2 hours until we had it at 19 months and finally let him cry it out. We felt terrible but enough was enough and he was so cranky during the day. He didn't like sleeping with me or his dad and after 2 nights of crying was able to sleep well in his crib. Noone has the answer when it comes to sleeping. You just have to do what you can. Another thing that always helped my son was a sound machine set to the ocean setting. I don't know what we would have done without it. - BethN1 Suggested Reading |
