baking soda

Reader's Tips:

If you have hard water in your home, use two or three teaspoons of baking soda to optimize your detergents sudsing and cleaning power. It gets off hard water stains on chrome, keeps bubbles in the water longer, cuts through grease. Use a 1/2 cup in a load of laundry and it really helps your detergent do its job. Great when you need to bleach your whites too.
